On November 29, 2012, AJC ACCESS Los Angeles hosted a dinner and dialogue with Bulgarian Consul General Marin Dimitrov. ACCESS leaders had the opportunity to hear insightful remarks by the Consul General on Bulgaria’s history, its geopolitical status, and its bilateral relationship with Israel. The Consul General gave a presentation about the current economic situation in Bulgaria and engaged in a candid dialogue with the audience on various international concerns regarding Israel and Iran. The event also provided the opportunity to view the exhibit, “Bulgaria and the Holocaust: The Fragility of Goodness”, which tells the story of how the Bulgarian Jews survived the Holocaust. On August 29, 2012, AJC ACCESS Los Angeles and the Network for Korean American Leaders (NetKal) hosted a joint reception and program on the subject of the Human Rights Violations of Iran and North Korea.
