On December 8. 2011 AJC ACCESS Los Angeles held a private reception with David Harris, Executive Director of AJC and the premier spokesperson on behalf of Israel and the Jewish people globally. This was an exclusive event for devoted members of ACCESS and the up and coming young Jewish leaders dedicated to making a difference and carrying on the mission of AJC. David Harris spoke of the diplomatic and advocacy efforts of AJC in the past 2 decades that has helped Israel, the Jewish people, and humanity in general. In particular,he spoke of AJC’s role as respected voice in the international political and religious sphere. On December 5, 2011 AJC ACCESS Los Angeles re-launched its diplomatic series program with a dinner and dialogue with the Consul General of Mexico, David Figueroa Ortega, and the Project Director of Focus Mexico and Senior Analyst, David Ayon! The sold-out event was chaired by Michael Newman and Seth Horowitz, members of the steering committee of ACCESS, and hosted by Ms. Nadine Gerson, AJC's Liaison to the Mexican Consulate.  In addition to briefings from both distinguished guests, on the issues of concern to Mexico both domestically and internationally, ACCESS young professionals learned about the impact of each nations 2012 elections on the bilateral US-Mexico relations
