The ACCESS 20/20 Weekend 2011 On the heels of AJC’s Global Forum (April 27-29), ACCESS hosted a unique global Jewish experience with friends from around the world and a party like none other. The ACCESS 20/20 Weekend aimed to help create meaningful change on two of the most pressing issues today: The Assault on Israel Legitimacy and Civil Society and Democracy. The conference was a huge success, gathering over 400 participants and activists from over 25 countries.

THE ASSAULT ON ISRAEL LEGITIMACY After years of being on the defensive, this track offers a bold strategic vision and concrete tactical plan to turn the tables on the issue. The "Global Network Event" will bring together activists from international hubs for interactive discussions of best practices in key theaters and for structured networking. Intended to inspire and empower, the track has been created in partnership with Israel’s prestigious Reut Institute strategy group, a thought-leader on the delegitimization challenge. Global youth activists from around the world, including the Middle East, Europe, and ethnic and religious partners from throughout the US, join together for a unique conversation about strengthening civil societies in a time of intense polarization. This track focuses on the troubling rise in “uncivil” political discourse. At the conclusion of the conference, participants sign a "civility pledge" to bolster joint action moving forward.
